About the FWWGA

Founded in 1931, the FWWGA is here to promote the interest in women's golf and to establish a spirit of good sportsmanship among its members.

A Message from the Co-President

Greetings Ladies!

Here we are...it is 2017 and we are all looking forward to a great golf season.  This will be the 86th year for the FWWGA.  The upcoming City Tournament will be the 87th one played.  We have a long and proud history.

As I write this I am amazed that it is February and a few of the golf courses are actually opening for the week-end.  Wow, what a great surprise for those of us so excited to play that we can't wait for the real spring to come!

We had a fun 2016 season, which ended with an evening of dinner and laughs.  We look forward to seeing all of our old friends and making some new ones for the upcoming 2017 season.

Donna Shook and I share being your president, which we hope brings a good combination of a seasoned veteran and a beginner's enthusiasm. We once again have an awesome group of hardworking board members that show their love of the game through their thoughtful service to the FWWGA.

The Interclub Schedule is already confirmed and the dates for the City Tournament are set.

We look forward to a great year of golf and socializing with the women of the FWWGA.

See you on the course!

Barb Baus - 2017 Co-President of the FWWGA

*Interclub events are every other Friday beginning in May and continue through September. These events are a great way to meet new golfers and have a lot of fun with the contests we play.  Our membership drive will begin soon, so join us for great fun this season!*

The Spring Newsletter will be posted soon with the registration form or contact your local club representative for more information.

We are always looking for new members to be a club representative; so if your club does not have one listed, contact one of the board members and it's easy to become one!

I’d give up this game, but I have too many golf sweaters! Bob Hope
